Leon
Petchkovsky MB BS FRCPsych PhD is an Associate Professor of
Psychiatry with the University of Queensland.
His research interests are the qualitative methodologies, as applied
to psychotherapy, art therapy, and indigenous mental health; and the
interface between the depth psychotherapies and neurobiology.
In
2004, he organized Australia’s first Conference on Complementary
Psychiatry.
He has spent many years in Central Australia, being mentored by
indigenous healers, and was the principal expert witness for the
Stolen Generations.
Leon is a senior teaching Analyst with the C G Jung Institute of the
Australian and New Zealand Society of Analytical Psychologists
(Jungian Analysts).
